Bizarre Felsformationen und Steilküsten, Buchten mit hellem Sand und relativ unberührte Natur sind charakteristisch für Krabi. Ideale Verhältnisse zum Seele-Baumeln-lassen, Schnorcheln und Tauchen findet man an der Küste und besonders auf den vielen vorgelagerten Inseln. Ausflüge nach Railey, Koh Poda und Chicken Island sollten unbedingt auf Ihrem Programm stehen, eines der zahlreichen Longtail-Boote bringt Sie günstig (und knatternd) zu Ihrem Lieblingsplatz. Sehenswürdigkeiten wie der Muschelfriedhof, Phi Phi Island, die Phang Nga Bay, Nationalparks, Wasserfälle und heiße Quellen sind auf Tagesausflügen bequem erreichbar. Der Badeort Ao Nang bietet eine größe Auswahl an Geschäften, Märkten, Restaurants und Bars. Die Anreise erfolgt per Flug von Bangkok, zudem gibt es eine Verbindung ab/an Koh Samui. Als beste Reisezeit gelten die Monate November bis Mai/Juni. In der Nebensaison wird es ruhiger, das Meer kann aufgewühlt und evtl. nicht schwimmbar sein.
